Silent Hills and Rivers
Ink and rice paper are crucial materials intraditional Chinese painting. During my doctoral studies at the China Academy
of Art, my research focused on the transformation of landscape painting in theearly 20th century. As an artist, I often contemplate the methods of creationand how to establish a connection between modern and traditional culture.
While this series employs materials such as ricepaper and ink, I aspire to approach the composition with a more innovativeperspective. I aim to infuse my contemplations on nature, life, and theuniverse into the artwork, exploring new and imaginative ways of expressionwhile staying rooted in traditional materials and techniques.
Going to The Beach
This series is a project I have been continuously working on in 2023. Because the beach offers endless possibilities for children, it's even more enjoyable than the best amusement park. For adults, it's a chance to leave behind the burdens of work and daily chores. Here, parents can transform back into children, becoming playmates for their own kids.
This series of works has won several awards, including the Gold Medal of the Society of Illustrators (USA) and the Merit Award of the 10th Hiii Illustration International Illustration Competition, etc.
